C-TPAT

The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a voluntary supply-chain security program led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (US-CBP) focused on improving the security of private companies’ supply chains with respect to terrorism. The program was launched in November 2001 with seven initial participants, all large U.S. companies. As of latest report, the program had 11,400 members. The 4,315 importers in the program account for approximately 54% of the value of all merchandise imported into the U.S.

About KBS’s CTPAT Compliant Program

The KBS’s Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism Compliant Program (CCP) is structured on Supply Chain Risk Assessment (SSRA) module of C-TPATCertification where an organization would be inspected on the framework of C-TPAT (World Customs Organization WCO, Safe Framework) on the Minimum Security Criteria, which is recognized and accepted by the US importers.

Since this is a flagship conventional compliance program so it is also offered to all the outside entity connected with US supply chain hence there is no registration on the CTPAT portal which is meant for USentityonly.KBS has also aimed while developing this framework for organizations to achieve Ease of Doing Business.
