How to check the authenticity of your iso certificates?
ISO certification is a trademark of excellence in the world today. They give us world-class specifications for products, services and systems, to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
But in the industry, there are few certification bodies/agents which are providing certifications at a very low price which are either fake or not based on a sound assessment by the competent persons. They have ruined the value of these wonderful management system standards. The people dealing in this type of certificate fools the people in various ways. There are some customers who feel happy by acquiring the certificates at a minimal investment of time and money. But please note that such certificates are just a piece of paper having no value and you should check if the certificate is authentic.
- The certificate issued should have the logo and mark of the accreditation body along with the accreditation no.
- The certificate will have the certification bodies logo and the address with a certificate number.
- Check if the certification body is accredited by an IAF MLA. To find an accredited certification body, visit the International Accreditation Forum at http://www.iaf.nu/. The IAF is the world association of Conformity Assessment Accreditation Bodies and other bodies interested in conformity assessment in the fields of management systems, products, services, personnel and other similar programmes of conformity assessment.
- In case of any doubt check with the accreditation body for the authenticity of the certificate.
